Director of Advancement | Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire | Epping, NH

The Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire (SELT) seeks a highly motivated Director of Advancement to lead a dynamic and growing fundraising program in support of SELT’s mission to protect and care for the lands that define New Hampshire’s communities. This senior leadership position is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that advances SELT’s strategic goals and deepens donor engagement. The Director of Advancement will oversee a strong team, collaborate across departments, and work closely with the Executive Director and Board to secure major gifts, planned gifts, and campaign support, as well as grow SELT’s membership and foundation partnerships.

About SELT

Founded in 1980, SELT has conserved more than 28,000 acres through conservation easements and fee ownerships across 52 communities. These lands include nearly 12,000 acres owned by SELT, with over 70 miles of public trails. SELT’s work supports clean water, local food, outdoor recreation, wildlife habitat, and healthy forests. The organization is accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission and is guided by a 2024–2030 Strategic Plan that aims to conserve an additional 15,000 acres and expand access to nature—especially in underserved communities.

Through its Nature is for Everyone initiative, SELT is removing barriers to outdoor access and honoring the full history of the lands it stewards. Its All-Terrain Learning Adventures (ATLAS) program connects youth to nature through experiential outdoor education. SELT’s headquarters is the net-zero Nan and George Mathey Center for People and Nature, located on a 500-acre conserved block in Epping, NH.
