The News Literacy Project (NLP), a nonpartisan education nonprofit, is building a national movement to advance the practice of news literacy throughout American society, creating better informed, more engaged, and more empowered individuals — and ultimately a stronger democracy. NLP is the leading provider of news literacy education to students primarily through our signature e-learning platform, Checkology® (https://get.checkology.org), and to the public through our website, RumorGuard™ (https://www.rumorguard.org).

About the Opportunity
A newly created position, the Senior Major Gifts Officer, West is a senior frontline fundraiser who will support our thriving portfolio of West Coast donors, funders, and partners. This role will also work closely with the CEO, SVP of Development, Major Gifts Officer, East, and the Development Operations team. While they will begin as an individual contributor, we hope to scale regional teams over time and provide additional support for this leader. This is a remote opportunity with expected frequent travel across the West Coast (primarily SoCal) and on occasion, Washington DC. We seek candidates based in SoCal, Los Angles, or the Bay Area.
