Director of Development, College of Pharmacy

Bryant Group is proud to continue a partnership with the University of Tennessee Foundation in the search for a strategic relationship-builder for the role of Director of Development (DoD), College of Pharmacy, for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

The DoD will play a pivotal leadership role in generating philanthropic support for one of the top pharmacy programs in the country - a nationally recognized institution shaping the future of pharmacy education, research and patient care. This role will help fuel innovation by securing major and annual gifts that directly impact academic excellence, groundbreaking research, scholarships and capital initiatives. The college is home to world-renowned faculty, a cutting-edge curriculum and a $36.7 million multidisciplinary simulation center that equips students to become leaders in hospitals, pharmacies, research institutions and beyond.

This highly visible role will work closely with the dean, college leadership and advancement colleagues to align donor passion with institutional priorities and future goals. The DoD will have the opportunity to engage with passionate alumni, cultivate transformational gifts and build partnerships that support the college’s global impact in medication management, pharmaceutical sciences and patient care.

If you’re an experienced development professional seeking a mission-driven role where your work truly changes lives—locally and worldwide—this is your opportunity to make a lasting mark at an institution on the forefront of healthcare innovation.

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of five years of experience, preferably in health science, higher education, healthcare or a related field of philanthropy. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s is preferred. Strong donor engagement skills and the ability to manage relationships with alumni and key stakeholders are essential. The role requires frequent travel to meet with prospects and donors outside the local area.
