Position reports to:  Associate Vice President of Development

Position salary range:  $81,350+/Annually

Director of Leadership Annual Giving – Remote within Twin Cities Metro, MN

Starting salary for candidate who meets minimum requirements (Experience will be compensated): $81,350+ annually.

Typical Schedule: 40 hours/week
What to expect:

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President of Development, the Director of Leadership Annual Giving is a driver in the PPNCS Foundation’s goal to diversify, engage, and grow the number and impact of mid-level donors annually. In partnership with the AVP and Director of Donor Engagement, the Director will oversee a regional leadership annual giving program that maximizes giving between $1,000-$10,000 and communicates and celebrates the impact of philanthropy. The position manages a regional team of frontline mid-level gift officers and oversees and evaluates the team’s implementation of creative, strategic donor engagement, qualification, solicitation, and stewardship initiatives to grow revenue and expand the donor pipeline. The Leadership Annual Giving Director actively manages a portfolio of high-level annual donors and volunteers, partners with Major Gifts staff to ensure integration of the mid-level donor program, and supports emerging donor engagement programs. Directors of Leadership Annual Giving are advocates in implementing our mission of “Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all.” They may perform other related duties as assigned.  

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. Occasional travel throughout the region to meet with donors and attend events.

Responsibilities:

This position will impact us with the following contributions:

Actively build, manage, and coach the Leadership Annual Giving team and oversee data-driven mid-level giving strategies for growing revenue and expanding the donor pipeline.
Develop and manage a portfolio with approximately 200+ prospects and donors capable of making gifts of $1,000+ annually.
Leverage donor engagement programs to create high-touch multi-channel strategies (phone, email, video, digital, etc.) to engage mid-level donors.
In partnership with the Donor Engagement team, ensure a coordinated annual solicitation plan that includes strategies to upgrade annual giving donors to Friends for Good ($1,000+) and retain and upgrade current members.
Coordinate with Major Gifts staff to ensure effective and efficient referrals are made to grow the pipeline of major gift ($10,000 and above) donors.
Design reports and metrics to demonstrate accomplishments, identify areas for improvement and track the overall performance of the team’s fundraising activities. Will report regularly on the success of the mid-level program.
Develop, manage and track donor relationships and prospect strategies in Raiser’s Edge.
Contribute to the Foundation’s planning processes, guiding development of goals and initiatives and delivery of measurable outcomes that advance the organization’s strategic initiatives.
Serve as an ambassador for PPNCS throughout the region.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Five years of related professional experience in direct solicitation and/or managing annual giving programs in a nonprofit setting.
Two years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to use data to assess and optimize programs, introduce innovative solutions, and measure and communicate results.
Willingness to do some travel and ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
Database and Microsoft Office experience.
