Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with The George Washington University in the search for a Vice President for University Advancement.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President for University Advancement will develop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy and program capable of meeting the university’s philanthropic objectives. The Vice President will support the university’s fulfillment of its mission and preserve its standing as a leader in higher education and research by building, sustaining, and inspiring a world-class, university-wide advancement program. The Vice President will be a superb relationship builder, with strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness, a commitment to deepening the engagement of the university’s many and varied internal and external constituents, and excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate matters of complexity and nuance to multiple groups of stakeholders.

The George Washington University seeks a Vice President for University Advancement with experience in a senior leadership role in a sophisticated and complex advancement program in an institution with national or international stakeholders and impact, including experience serving as a partner to a president or other senior academic leader. The successful candidate will have an ability to contribute to the shaping of the university's strategic goals and to translate those goals into compelling advancement strategies. The Vice President will possess excellent leadership skills and a strong grasp of best practices in the advancement profession both inside and outside higher education.

The target compensation for this position includes a base salary of $650,000 plus a generous incentive plan.
