Carl A. Wayne, JD
Carl specializes in charitable estate planning utilizing contributions of cash & appreciated non-cash assets to fund bequests, CGAs and CRTs. Based in Los Angeles, California, his focus is nurturing relationships with professional advisors.
His career includes stints at UCLA, CSU, Long Beach and UNCF. His BA in Political Science is from UCLA and Juris Doctorate from UWLA School of Law. A licensed attorney, he currently serves on Financial Planning Association (FPA) National Board of Directors; and Advisors in Philanthropy (AiP) National Board of Directors. Activities include biking, walking, movies, cooking. reading and perusing vintage bookstores when traveling his assigned territory.
Christal M. Cherry
Christal M. Cherry is a nationally recognized nonprofit executive and professionally trained fundraiser. With over 20 years in the nonprofit sector, she has supported higher education institutions, human services organizations, and faith-based missions. Christal also served as a Senior Consultant at the GA Center for Nonprofits and is currently the CEO of The Board Pro, a consulting firm designed to transform leaders through board service. Christal earned a MA in Counseling from Hampton University, a BA in Liberal Arts from Hofstra University. She also enjoys her membership in AADO, Toastmasters, and F3, Fabulous Female Fundraisers which she founded.
Durba Chatterjee
Durba has over twenty years of experience in prospect-development, data-management and advancement operations. She has worked for private undergraduate colleges, state universities, system office administering the technical college system of Georgia and an independent K-12 institution at various phases of campaigns and leadership changes. Her data-driven perspective helped her secure transformational gifts for her former employer, Virginia State University. Durba completed her MBAs from Burdwan University, India and University of Missouri, Columbia. She has been a member of CASE, AFP, APRA and AASP and served on the APRA-GA board as VP and Program Director. She enjoys presenting at conferences, networking and mentoring.
Wanda Scott, CAP®, CFRE
Wanda Scott is the Founder & Principal Consultant of Wanda Scott & Associates, a strategic fundraising and philanthropic advising firm that believes in the joy and transforming power of fundraising. Wanda Scott & Associates partners with organizations to develop growth strategies, facilitate education and training and provide guidance and support to philanthropists. Wanda Scott is a fundraising and development professional with over 19 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Wanda has successfully led development and advancement teams in nonprofit and university settings, and as a chartered advisor in philanthropy (CAP®), she has advised individuals on transformative philanthropic giving.
Jonelle Bradshaw de Hernandez, PhD.
Jonelle Bradshaw de Hernandez is the Executive Director of Foundation Relations for the University of Texas at Austin. In this capacity, she works closely with the advancement and academic leadership to prioritize and execute fundraising programs and initiatives that attract significant foundation support. Jonelle graduated from Cornell, Columbia University and Stony Brook University where she earned her PhD.
Dr. Bradshaw de Hernandez is also a Research Assistant Professor at UT Austin School of Information. Her research interests include the intersection of science and technological innovations, risk perceptions and job security in building a transformational U.S. workforce focused on economic competitiveness.
Amy Eisenstein, ACFRE
Amy Eisenstein, ACFRE is CEO and Co-Founder of the Capital Campaign Toolkit. Her published books include: Major Gift Fundraising for Small Shops, Raising More with Less, and 50 A$ks in 50 Weeks. Amy became an AFP certified Master Trainer in 2009 and served as the president of the board of AFP-NJ in 2014-2015.
